About Me

I wrote my very first novel in 2012. It was the lovestory of two couples that were embroiled in the conflict of an ages-long war, a political struggle against a corrupt regime, and prejudices against those who were supposed to be their allies.

Until my first publication – the first installment in the German High Fantasy Romance series “Die Sagen der Avenin” (The Tales of the Avenin) which happens to be a completely different story – it took until December 2014 though. Over the following years, the series developed into four novels, four novellas, and one short story, while other novels and novellas followed suit. Unfortunately, good things don’t always last.

It was in 2017, when I was finishing my undergraduate studies in linguistics. Faced with the decision to either continue my education or go jobhunting in the wide world out there while also dealing with some problems of a more personal matter, writing had to take a back seat.

With the global pandemic hitting the whole world in 2020, just when I finished the graduate program I had finally decided on, I told myself that I’d never be this young again and might never get the chance to come back if I did not try it now. Thus, next to the last-minute freelancer career as a copywriter that had to be conjured up out of nothing, I went back to writing stories.

As of July, I am translating and rewriting my old German stories into a shinier English version to get back in the groove while working on some new ideas on the side. Many of these stories contain major queer characters as I have long wanted to see the romance genre become more inclusive. Look out for the respective flags over on the stories page to find the ones your heart beats for!
